Camping Chvalšiny is a pleasant campsite for families under Dutch management in South Bohemia, near the magical UNESCO city Cesky Krumlov. The campsite is situated between the village of Chvalšiny and the surrounding woods on terraced grounds with gorgeous views. It consists over 130 marked pitches and asphalted roads lead to the site making it easily accessible also for caravans and campers.

The facilities meet western standards. The modern sanitary block is kept neat and clean. Toilets with paper, hot showers (€ 0,50), area with wash basins with hot and cold water, chemical toilet discharging station, dishwashing area, washing machine, tumble dryer and, a wringer: convenient for washing by hand.

Bistro

In our bistro you are welcome all day: for fresh rolls in the morning, a cup of coffee, ice cream, a tasty lunch or dinner and in the evening a delicious Czech beer. On sunny days you can enjoy our cozy terrace. In high season we organize pizza and barbecue evenings regularly. You can also buy a few groceries.

Shops

In the village of Chvalsiny, within walking distance, are shops for your daily shopping. There is also a post office, a petrol station and a restaurant. Major supermarkets can for instance be found in Cesky Krumlov (10 km) and Ceske Budejovice (30 km). In these towns you can also find ATM machines.

On the campsite you will find an ecological swimming pool, playground equipment, a pond for swimming and fishing, a campfire place, beach volleyball and a soccer pitch. There is also a big hay barn with four table-tennis tables and a soundproof recreation room with big screen.

Activities for children

In high season we organize various activities especially for children: puppet shows, campfires, coloring, baking rolls, ghost walks, treasure hunts, fishing competitions, handicraft and games. Every night at eight a bedtime story is read for all children.

Excursions

In high season we arrange day trips for example to the Czech capital Prague. A guided tour (in Dutch) informs about this wonderful historical city with its castle and impressive churches and other buildings.

Hiking and cycling

There are several hiking and cycling routes leaving directly from the campground, a description of which can be borrowed at the reception. The larger area also has a variety of officially marked hiking paths.

Canoeing

Sports and some adventure can be experienced on a canoe trip down the nearby Vltava River.
