Campsite
Location
Camping Chvalšiny is a pleasant campsite for families under Dutch management in South Bohemia. It is situated between the village of Chvalšiny and the surrounding woods on terraced grounds with fine views. Asphalted roads lead to the site making it easily accessible also for caravans.
Size
The grounds stretch over an area of 7.5 ha and consist of 150 marked pitches of minimally 120 square metres. The campsite pond can be used for swimming as well as for fishing. From 1 july 2009 you can also swim in our new swimmingpool.
Facilities
The facilities meet western standards. The sanitary is kept neat and tidy. Toilets with paper, hot water showers (half a Euro), wash place with basins and hot water, chemical toilet discharging, dish-washing place, washing machines, tumble drier and, practical for the hand-wash, a wringer.
Shops
There is a kiosk on the campground for some small shopping, providing fresh rolls every morning! You can also enjoy a drink on the cosy terrace, or even a simple but tasty meal. In the village, which is at walking distance, there are several shops for your daily shopping. There is also a post office and a petrol station (with unleaded "natural").
Large supermarkets are to be found in nearby towns, Krumlov and Bud?jovice, where you can also find cash dispensers.
Climate
Compared to the weather in the UK day temperatures are mostly higher in the Czech Republic. However, Bohemian nights are colder, which is wonderful for a good night's sleep, but you'd better bring a warm sleeping bag along.
